Skating or skateboarding
by Jared Gentry
Have you ever skated or skateboarded before? When and where? What do you prefer to do, skate or skateboard? When it comes down to this decision on skating or skateboarding, I prefer to skate. To me skating is easy; for others it might be skateboarding that is easier for them to do.
Tyler Harris said, “I rather skateboard than skate.”
When I was ten years old, I went skating for the first time. However, then on I kept going and going, to get better and better, and I did. Now I go skating because it’s what I’m good at, and love to do on my spare time. It’s like a hobby of mine.
People say skating is lame but it isn’t. Skating takes a lot of skill, practice, and balance to skate. There are many techniques you must know and learn to skate. Skateboarding is hard to do as well, you have to know how to and when to move your feet. The point is, both take a lot of time, practice, skill and they are both a true talent. Also you shouldn’t discriminate one another because they either skate or skateboard.
Tyler Ryan said, “I don’t do either; I haven’t skateboarded since fifth grade. I rather roller skate because it’s a lesser chance of falling
Skateboarding was something I could never do. That’s why I stay and stick to what I’m good at, skating.
It’s easy to me and its something I’m comfortable doing.
When people think of skaters, they usually have a stereotype. The stereo type is basically they are destructive and bad people. But that’s not true. Some are but most are not.
There are many brands of skating and skateboarding. When I think of skating, I think of brands like bauer, mission, tour, and many more. When I think of skateboarding I think of brands like element, flip, zero, plan b, and many others.
