Cars clash attitudes at St. James

The cars in the St. James parking lot are just as diverse as the people who drive them. Each car reflects the personality of the person who drives it.

 Junior Zach Shelton drives a 1998 Honda Civic. “I love how good it is on gas,” says Zack. "I miss my truck, but I save money driving a Honda…. CA-CHING!

Junior Josie Thompson drives a 1998 Buick Regal.  She says that it was a surprise present from her dad. And that the Regal is "Fit for a queen."

 Junior Tyler Ryan Drives 2002 Volvo S60. “I like it because its fast and has heated leather seats,” says Tyler. “Sometimes, when it gets hot, it smells like Crayons inside.” Tyler reports that a living fish was lost in the back of his car, and later found it under the floor mat.

Senior Robert Shepley ponders life on the roof of his 1996 Jeep Cherokee;  He likes to drive it, even though it gets terrible gas mileage. He likes the angular body style, and how large 18-wheelers blow it off the road when they pass him. “It’s a classic” says Robert “and the Ladies love it”

Junior Eric Josephs drives a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500. “I like that it has four wheel drive, and that I can go mudding with it” says Eric

Junior Brittany Ramsey Drives a ’07 Volkswagen Beetle. “I love the convertible top, and it drives well, too.” 

Senior Corey Collins drives a 2000 Ford Mustang GT. “I like the Mustang because its an all around fun car,” says Corey “and its very fast”. The mustang has a 4.8 Litre V8 engine, complete with a cool air intake. 

Junior Robbie Johnson Drives a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta. “I love the exaust system “ The Jetta has flames, and butterfly doors, and a spoiler on the trunk complete with the VW logo stamped into it.





Junior Ryan Bonham drives a 1999 GMC Yukon. It sits on 33in Nitto Mud Grapplers, and has straight pipes “My favorite thing about the Yukon is the straight pipes” says Ryan “Its very loud”. Ryan also likes to go mudding. 

Junior Devann Donovan Drives a 2000 Dodge Durago. It has a V-8, and 22-inch rims. “I love the stereo” says Devann “It went through 3 transmissions before I got to drive it.” Devann reports that her favorite story about her truck was when Ethan Johnson rescued her when the battery died at a gas station in a very bad part of town.
