Students this semester are making art work come to life as they use self portraits to paint pictures.
Junior Emaleigh Phillips sketches out a drawing for her painting.
Senior Kelly Knewell throws out pictures as if they were money. "I throw my pictures like I throw out my 100 dollar bills!"
Junior Sean Ard works on a painting in his class. His painting revolves around the worlds issues with North Korea and their nuclear threats.
Junior Brooklynn DuVall paints over her pictures. She calls her paintings a hot mess.
Junior Joe Luzzi loves to paint, infact he says that this is his favorite class. "Painting brings out the life in people, it brings out what is in their hearts; that's why I love to paint."
Junior Olivia Meletes mixes paints together to make another color. She also likes to mix paints together to make a clear coat for the pictures so they don't dry badly and don't crack.
Senior Cole Rossmiller works on a painting that combines diffrent pictures together. He likes it because it's a challenge.

"You always have to wash your paint brushes off before and after you paint, because you never know what's on these things," Joe said.
