Piercings and tattoos have become popular sport in the modern age. People of all ages are interested in the subject.

And there is much to learn. Speaking specifically piercings, here is a list of a few for face, ear and body:

• Eyebrow
• Nose
• Cheek
• Lip Piercings
• Tongue
• Tooth Piercing
• Frenulum (Tongue Web)
• Lobe
• Industrial Piercing
• Helix
• Snug
• Rook
• Tragus
• Anti-Tragus
• Belly button
• Nipple Piercing
• Surface Piercings
          o Nape Piercing
o Clavicle or Collar Bone Piercing
          o Sternum Piercing
          o Cleavage Piercing
          o Wrist Piercing
          o Hip Piercing
          o Back Dimple Piercing
• Dermal Anchor or Microdermal Piercing
• Conch

There are also the unmentionable piercings that some people choose to get. I have the industrial, cartilage and the lobe piercings.

I wish to get a few more in my ears and maybe my belly button if I get bored. Most girls get their nose pierced with a stud or a hoop and their belly button done to show off at the beach.

And boys tend to get lip, ear and sometimes nose piercings.

Sophomore, Piercing Expert, Nicole Cottingham says,
“When I was in sixth grade I pierced my second lobe and after that I couldn’t stop getting more and more earrings. It became an obsession. At the moment I have around 20 piercings. “ Nicole has done all of her own piercings as well.

Also, the new biggest trend is ear stretching. We’ve all seen them before. Most commonly called “gauges “, which is an incorrect term. A gauge is the size of the stretch and sizes start at 12g. The smaller the number, the bigger the size is. After 00 most sizes turn into millimeters.
