Have you ever read a series of books and really enjoyed and connected with it? Then here is one of the best series you’ll ever read.
The “I am Number Four” series is a new series by Pittacus Lore. It is about nine children from a planet called Lorien that escaped on a ship before they were destroyed in a war between the Loriens and Mogadorians.
Once they arrived on Earth, they tried to blend in with the rest of the human children, but there was one problem. The Mogadorians had followed the children to earth to seek out and destroy them. So the Lorien children hid and trained to fight the Mogadorians so they could one day return to Lorien.
There are two types of Loriens: the Garde, which have superpowers, and the Cepans, which train them to develop their powers. “I am Number Four” starts off by introducing number four, or John Smith, a kid on the run with his Cepan Henri. They end up in Paradise, Ohio where John falls in love with a girl named Sarah Hart and has his first best friend, Sam Goode.
Then of course there is the school bully which has a knack for aggravating John. Later in the book the Mogadorians catch up with him and trap him at the school, and making him out to be a fugitive and on the run once again.
There is also a second book called “The Power of Six” and a third book called “The Rise of Nine.” Overall the series are very imaginative and greatly thought out. The author has also announced that there will be a total of six books with the fourth one coming out next August. I really enjoy the series and highly recommend it to any reader.
